M6 J13 Exit (Stafford) Take the A518 (via Uttoxeter) for 17m and then the A50 (s/posted M1). Turn off onto the A515 (s/posted Ashbourne). As you pass through Ashbourne pick up the A515 (s/posted Buxton). Turn left 1m out of Ashbourne (s/posted Thorpe/Dovedale/Ilam) and continue for 2m. The roads bends sharply left immediately after The Dog & Partridge and the hotel lies ahead at the bottom of the descent. (33 miles) |

M1 J28 Exit Take the A38 (s/posted Derby) and then A610 (s/posted Matlock). After 3m take the A6 (s/posted Matlock). Continue for appx 8m and take the A5012 at Cromford. After 8m turn left onto the A515 (Ashbourne) and continue for 6m until you come to a RH turning (brown sign for Thorpe/Dovedale/Ilam). At the T-junction (The Dog & Partridge) turn right and follow the road as it bends sharply left. The hotel lies ahead at the bottom of the descent. (30 miles) |
