The hotel takes its name from the novel by Sir Walter Scott. This 3 star hotel dates back to the 1830's. Enjoying a stunning white peak village location, in the quaint peak district village of Thorpe.
The hotel has 11 acres of manicured gardens and grounds and the towering Thorpe Cloud as a backdrop, Thorpe pastures on one side, and numerous footpaths and trails passing through its grounds, along with the famous stepping stones on the River Dove, on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border.
